Unifying Fury

June 19, 2026 EX-MÊKH opened the anniversary exhibition Unifying Fury at Quartair Contemporary Art Initiatives in Den Haag (NL). Our friend and Berlin representative Isolde Nagel was special guest to our opening and performed the opening act together with Ellen Rodenberg. We show personal works in the space and two video’s in a side room in which our collaboration is illustrated in two projects:Stage Arousal. It was produced for a Corona online version of Platforms Project in Athens. We shot it in winter at Maarten’s studio in Den Haag. Maarten built a stand as we are used to have in Athens and we show how we build up an installation together. The second video is Wormhole, for which Maarten designed a space at Garderen near the national park of the Veluwe. The idea was to have a small theatre with two open sides in which we perform, present work and show how we challenge eachother. Furthermore, we have a slide show which gives visitors an idea of what we have been up to all the time we worked together. In a second slideshow the graphic presentation of our activities can be seen for which Ben Faydherbe was kind enough to share his talents with us.

Central in the space is a sculpture which we conceived as a participatory project under the title The Fury: visitors can take part in this work. We all try to build it up to be a collective effort, which is what EX-MÊKH has always believed in: exhibiting is collaborating with eachother and with our visitors. During the opening and the two days after visitors and EX-MÊKH were already working on the project enthousiastically. Underneath you will find an impression.
